The Magnet School of Leadership and Innovation, IS 171, is a school where character intersects with leadership. As a Lincoln Scholar, all learning is through advocacy projects where student presentations emphasize collaboration, Socratic Seminar, inquiry-based strategies, and project-based learning.   Students understand social issues and how to communicate solutions through innovative mediums and presentation formats.

The Magnet School of Journalism and Multimedia Studies, PS 202 utilizes the tenets of journalism, and 21st Century platforms to teach evidence-based inquiry skills to advocate for community change.  The thematic curriculum addresses the community’s needs, through inquiry grounded in lived experience and cultivates civic mindfulness. Students construct their narratives and find their voices.

The Magnet School of Leadership and Social Justice Activism, PS 64, students to make sense of the world through authentic, inquiry-based learning experiences.  Each student’s culture and experiences support and empower them to be critical thinkers and lifelong leaders.  Students explore, study, and engage in problem-solving through social justice activism.
